Emerging Media Summit Slated For September 1309 Aug
Clear your calendars for September 13, folks! The third annual Emerging Media Summit, a partnership event between the Louisville Digital Association and the Louisville chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, will take place that day, a Tuesday, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville. And the lineup is first-rate!

We’ve put together a program that will bring the latest thinking, best practices and practical advice on incorporating social media and digital marketing into your business, regardless of its size. Like previous year’s Summits, the takeaways will be practical, actionable and immediate.
Okay, let me cut to the chase and snap out of press release writing mode for a second: This roster of speakers is kick-ass! Zena Weist is former social media lead for H&R Block. David Thomas literally wrote the book on enterprise social strategy. Tim Hayden knows more about bringing mobile marketing to life than most people know about their own families. A lot of the content we’ve got in store for you is stuff that Louisville hasn’t seen or heard before. This is a Do-Not-Miss event! Trust me.

Among the speakers and topics for this year’s event, you’ll see: Weist, VP of Digital Strategy for Edelman who will cover operationalizing a social business. Thomas, author of the book The Executive’s Guide To Enterprise Social Media Strategy and Director of Social Strategy for Radian6 will share insights on how to apply social media strategies in enterprise corporations. Mobile marketing expert Hayden will bring mobile marketing down to earth for small, medium and large businesses. Ron McHargue from Verizon Wireless will show the possibilities of customer interaction and location-based marketing with mobile technology.
Vest Advertising’s Susan Gosselin will present ideas on how technology has changed health marketing by explaining what today’s ePatient looks like. Kevin Magee, VP for Enterprise Client for social media management tool Expion will present ideas on how enterprise companies can overcome social challenges. Lisa Joy Rosner of NetBase will explain the new market research the social web presents. Gary Lee from mBlast will help you discover how to identify influencers for your communications outreach.
And one inordinately handsome Louisville social media guy will wow you with the concept of gamification in marketing and how game theory can super-charge your efforts.
